What Pro unlocks
The free plan gives you the full plot mapping toolkit for one active project. Nodes, edges, chapters, filters, PNG export. If you sign in, that project is saved to your account. We did not gate anything to make you upgrade.
Pro is for writers juggling more than one story, or for people who need to loop others in. If you have a novel draft and a screenplay treatment going at the same time, or your editor wants to see the structure, that is where Pro comes in.
Unlimited projects. Keep every story in its own synced workspace. Start something new without archiving what you were working on.
More synced workspaces. Free covers one active project. Pro removes that cap so you can keep multiple projects in your account and move between devices without losing anything.
Story Mode. This turns the plot map into a chapter-by-chapter writing view. Each chapter shows its assigned nodes next to the text, so you draft with the structure right beside you. Map and manuscript stay in sync.
Unlisted share links. Send a read-only version of your map to anyone. They do not need an account. Good for beta readers, agents, writing groups, without turning your map into an indexable public page.
Collaboration. Up to five people can edit the same project. Everyone works from the same structure, and feedback stays in context instead of landing in a separate doc.
PDF export. The free plan has PNG for quick screenshots. PDF is for when you need something you can hand to someone: revision notes, workshop handouts, a deck for a producer meeting.
Common questions about pricing
Can I try before buying?
Yes. The free plan is fully functional with no time limit, and gives you one active project. When you reach a Pro feature like a second project, public share links, or PDF export, you can start a one-time 7-day Pro trial. No charge during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. All payments are processed securely and we never store your card details on our servers.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period, and your projects remain accessible on the free plan after that.
What happens to my projects if I downgrade?
All your projects and data stay intact. You can still view everything, but editing is limited to one active project on the free plan. If you already had a share link live, you can turn it off on Free, but turning it back on requires Pro. Upgrade again anytime to regain full access.
